Carol,

Some of the first set of items appear similar to cruet and spice dispenser
tops. The other items need to be clearned of corrosion and compared to kitchen
furnishings in an attempt to identify form and function. Have you considered
distilled water baths and running low electrical current to reverse the
corrosion of the metals?

I am still bothered by the statement that the San Diego Archaeological
Center will not accept ferrous metal objects in the curation of the collection.
Clearly, there are circumstances when collections represent truly important
historical sites and the metal artifacts require long-term curation.
