Hello all,

I was hoping some histarchers might be able to help me fill a hole in
the next issue of Archaeology magazine. We've recently begun to
feature a single artifact on our last page, and are having more
trouble than we anticipated hunting down objects to highlight.

What we're looking for is a simple artifact from an archaeological
context that tells an unusual or unexpected story. An ideal candidate
would be an unassuming pot sherd that radically changes the way a
site is interpreted.

While it would be great if the artifact was from a recent excavation,
the only real limiting factor is that we have to be able to publish a
high quality photograph of the object.

If anybody has tips, please contact me off list at:

Thanks!

Eric
