A couple other reports that may address this issue (unfortunately, I no
longer appear to have copies of these). Mark Branstner's report deals
with surface features at the CCC camps, but he may have observed alcohol
bottles or came across historical documentation as well - Mark are you
still on the list?

Branstner, Mark C.
1986 Cultural Resource Inventory of Fire Lookout Towers and C.C.C.
Camps on the Huron-Manistee National Forests. United States Department
of Agriculture, Forest Service, Huron-Manistee National Forests,
Cadillac, Michigan. Great Lakes Research Associates, Inc., Williamston,
Michigan.

Otis, Allison T., W.D. Honey, T.C. Hogg, and K. Lakin
1986 The Forest Service and the Civilian Conservation Corps:
1933-1942. United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service.
Pacific Crest Research and Services Corporation, Corvallis, Oregon.

Their is a CCC museum in Michigan as well that may have additional
information on this topic (see link).
