Well, it looks like the b.m.s. version of the Hanssler Bach Edition will
only be available to buyers in EU in the future.
The following news article is from the Hanssler Classic homepage
(https://ssl.haenssler.de/classic.uk/):
Pressinformation - November 17, 2004
The Hanssler Verlag Successfully Blocks Further Sales of the
illegal Bach-Edition.
Continuing in their legal actions, Haenssler Verlag GmbH has
succeeded in blocking further sales and distribution of the
illegal Bach-Edition from the Czech Republic.
The court has issued provisional orders to suppliers in Germany
to halt shipment of the Czech edition. Among those named were
Accent Bookshop, H'Art Music, Rhenania, Grosser & Stein, 2001
Versand, Frolich and Kaufmann, etc.
Hanssler Verlag achieved an additional "cease and desist"
order against TTV 2000 GmbH for the illegal export of the
Czech edition into regions expressly FORBIDDEN by the contract
- including the USA. Hannsler Verlag cautioned TTV 2000 and
TTV 2000 agreed, under threat of penalty, to cease illegal
export into countries outside the EU.
Hanssler Verlag GmbH and its distributed label "hanssler
Classic" will at this time, enter a complaint with the public
prosecutor's office to halt further sale of the Czech Bachedition
and seek damages resulting from the illegal edition's sale.
As evidence of the contractual breach became evident, official
warnings and "cease and desist" orders were issued; the
decisions of the regional courts Hamburg and Cologne have
encouraged Haenssler Verlag to use every available means in
order to seek both Civil and Criminal damages from all parties
complicit in the breach of the license agreement by the Czech
licensee through distribution of the illegal Edition.
