For Jake (and any others): Greenwood and Associates excavated a site with
several early- to mid-century restaurants and lunch counters, yielding an
abundance of the typical ceramics. One unique type is a compartmented plate with
"dimples," two small round depressions on the brim, as if to hold
condiments. These have not been reported elsewhere.

The report is titled Archaeological Investigations at CA-LAN-2804H:
Universal City Station Park and Ride Facility (Greenwood, Foster, and Rasson 2000).
It should be available at the South Central Coastal Information Center, Cal
State Univ/Fullerton, _www.anthro.fullerton.edu.sccic.html_
(http://www.anthro.fullerton.edu.sccic.html) , or through the Los Angeles County Metropolitan
Transportation Authority.
