Quite some number of years ago now there was research being carried out 
in the use of Resmethrin as a means of killing colonies of bees.  The 
attribute that made it attractive was that the bees died but not 
clinging to the frames - dropped to the floor, making recovery/cleaning 
of the equipment that much easier...
