Some years ago, I remember seeing an exhibit at the Futures Center (Franklin Institute). It was a plexiglas hexagon filled with ball bearings. It showed different material properties such as packing, dislocations, annealing etc.

If you have this or a similar exhibit, would you be willing to share details of the explanations/graphics?
