Hello, all:
We are about to open the expansion to our Science Playground. The
original NY Hall of Science Science Playground, opened in 1997, is
30,000 ft2 of physics related exhibits. The expansion is about the
same size, focusing on the natural world, and is designed for our
younger visitors. The combined Science Playground will be something
over 60,000 square feet. We are putting together our promotional
material, and want to brag accurately about the size of our Science
Playground. Does anyone know of a Science Playground that is
larger? We are trying to limit the definition in a way that excludes
"nature walks" and other types of botanical garden/nature center
experiences. Will this Science Playground be the largest in the US?
In the Western Hemisphere? In the world? In the known Universe?
So, any examples of really really big science playgrounds will be
greatly appreciated.
Anyway,
Eric Siegel
