Yes, I have used bookmarks instead of brochures many times, but for
individual exhibitions rather than for the whole museum. That way,
you can tailor-make them, and list the dates/hours and associated
programs on them as well. I find that they are cheaper, easier to
mail (#10 envelopes...) and people think they are "cool" (or so they
say when they pick them up). They are naturals for distributing to
libraries. People do seem to hang onto them.
