I was told today that to combat the PMS comb problem commercial beekeepers in Florida are using radiation on brood comb to kill the virus. The cost I was told was$6 a box or $12 a double hive.

Bob,
The people using the radiation treatment, were they in the panhandle of Florida? I, too, have considered using radiation on my brood combs, but to treat AFB infected combs, not PMS. At $6 a box, that is a lot cheaper in money, time, and resouces than replacing everything. What type of radiation were they using?

Mike
