Hi All,
I'm looking for collaborators to work on a session for ASTC 2007 that
looks at how to connect front-line staff with various departments across
the institution to create a unified vision and support for everyone.
Front-line staff benefit from these strengthened relationships by having
a broader sense of the mission of the institution as well as knowing who
to go to with different needs or ideas. Other departments benefit by
being able to share their visions with the people in direct contact with
the public.
At Pacific Science Center, one way we try to accomplish this is through
daily mini trainings that are developed by a different department each
week. This creates a source of sustainable contact and dialogue.
How do you try to accomplish this at your institution? What benefits
and challenges do you see with trying to do this? Reply off-list if you
would be interested in collaborating on this topic.
Thanks!
Michael
