New maritime archaeology position: Program in Maritime Studies, East
Carolina University
Maritime Archaeology. Applications are invited for a tenure-track
position at the rank of assistant or associate professor to begin on
August 11, 2008. Salary is competitive. Ph.D. is required, and
candidates must be certified to dive, at the time of application. Area
of specialty is open. Preference will be given to candidates who offer
records of scholarly publications, teaching excellence, and experience
directing underwater archaeological field schools. Responsibilities
include graduate teaching (M.A., Ph.D.) in maritime archaeology,
directing field schools, advising, scholarly publication, and
