One of Tim Burton's first efforts was a Frankenstein spoof with a bull
terrier in the title role, "Frankenweenie". Some time around Halloween, by
chance I caught the last five minutes or so of this on tv. Lo and behold,
at the climactic ending, I heard what I believe was a very brief snippet
of Mahler, possibly from the 9th Symphony. Alas, it was so short and
unexpected that I can't be sure. Anyone out there know this short film and
can comment? It used to be available at my local Blockbuster, but I checked
the other day and it wasn't there.
