The first time I ever walked into the London Tower store I thought I had
died on gone to Heaven. Living as I do in a small town in the English
Midlands with no classical CD shop of any kind it was a real shock. Up
until then I had mail ordered but this was a new experience. Now I save up
and go on day trips to that and the other stores in London, many of which
are as good. Mail order is great, but there is nothing to compare with
"being there" and "doing it".
Incidentally, the London Tower store must have one of the best addresses in
the civilized world:
Number 1 Picadilly Circus.
