I certainly second Mike Polk's statement on SHA 2007. Perhaps Pat Garrow
can come on line and telling some facts like the total registration - the
largest SHA conference to date. Well organized, well located and beautiful
weather. I hope no historical archaeologists fell into the James River
during the night visit to Jamestown. Quite a different effect to be there
at night; made you think what the original settlers were thinking when the
sun went down and they were surrounded by the dark and the forest.
SHA 2007, by the way, was the third conference to be held in Williamsburg.
Question: During the 18th century when someone told you to meet them at the
brick building what did you do?
