It was proposed by Patrick Garrow, Ph.D., here that a central
repository for all the archaeology conducted under "public" review be
placed where other researchers could look at the reports. I seem to
remember for NYC those reports were once going to be available in
public libraries, perhaps the idealism of the day then, a new part of
the City Planning Commission's city charter empowered evaluation
through the Landmarks Commission.

Here is an interesting site in Great Britain online: Archaeology Data
Service http://ads.ahds.ac.uk/ which has all the "gray" literature
reports online.

For example for Suffolk, England at
http://ads.ahds.ac.uk/catalogue/library/greylit/browse.cfm?unit=Suffolk+County+Council+Archaeological+Service

It would be nice perhaps SHPO by SHPO to have something like this
sponsored by on the colleges or universities in each respective state.
