Who Am I?
Currently a long-term contractor assisting a federal land managing agency in
the conduct of a variety of cultural resources management responsibilities.
At sundry times in the past I have been a Territorial Archaeologist and HPO
for the U.S. Territory of Guam; and an excavator of siege trenches on the
Yorktown battlefield and of historic features on the banks of the James
River at the Flowerdew Hundred plantation site. I was the first CRM related
employee for the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. As the Grateful Dead
sang, "It's been a long, strange trip" so far. Delightful.
Dirtiest moment in the field
Cleaning out one of those twelve foot deep siege trench profiles that had
filled with mud, silt, debris, and various desperate critters since the
previous field season.
Practical Advice.
Never separate yourself from your lunch when in the field.

Subject: Introductions
Since we have so many new people joining Histarch, I thought that we
should all introduce ourselves.
Questions:
1) Who are you?
2) Dirtiest moment in the field.
3) Your idea of the best dressed archaeologist, i.e. what practical
gear should they be wearing?
