Call for Papers; Industrial Archaeology of the Northeast

I'm in the process of putting together a session of papers on the industrial
archaeology of the Northeast for the 2005 Annual Meeting of the Council for
Northeast Historical Archaeology, to be held in Trenton, New Jersey, October
20-23, 2005.

Papers should utilize archaeological data, but should speak to broader
methodological issues within the field as well. I.e., "site report" papers
are not what we're looking for. We have three papers so far and are looking
for 3-4 more. Because of the geographic focus of the conference, if possible
preference will be given to papers utilizing data from the mid-Atlantic
region (NY, NJ, PA, DE), though papers from any area within northeastern
North America will be considered. Papers should be kept to 20 minutes, and
there will be a five-minute question and answer period at the end of each
paper presentation.

If you are interested, please email me at [log in to unmask] with an
abstract.

Participants will need to be members of CNEHA, and will need to preregister
for the conference. Details on membership may be found at
http://www.smcm.edu/Academics/soan/cneha/member.htm. Conference info is at
http://www.smcm.edu/Academics/soan/cneha/cneha05.htm. The call for papers
and conference registration form is at

Thank You,
