Many used cds get to the market from critics and label reps, and
from record store employees themselves who sell promotional copies
that come into their hands. Considering that Tower records starts its
employees at minimum wage (and having worked in the record store biz for
many years, I know that most other chains pay equally pathetically) one
can't blame the poor chaps for selling the promos.

When I was in the business, I had to sell cds often to have enough money
to pay the rent.
