Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

ASTC has revised the Call for Proposals for the 2009 ASTC Annual Conference
to include a second theme linked to ASTC's new strategic priorities. The new
title, The Art of Science: Creating a Better Future-El Arte de la Ciencia:
Hacia un Futuro Mejor, encompasses the original goal to "explore how the
blending of art and science can engage people of all cultures and provide
powerful learning experiences" and the added goal to "determine how science
centers can become valuable and essential partners in addressing key local,
national, and global societal issues."

The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended to December 15 to
allow more time for session development. We encourage you to use ISEN-ASTC-L
to share ideas for sessions and to find colleagues globally who are
interested in collaborating.

Lesley Lewis's lead article in the September/October issue of ASTC
