Subject: References for Coffin Hardware
I have been asked to ID some hardware (handles, corner pieces,
decorative plates) from coffins from the early 20th century. Not my
area; the artifacts are quite unfamiliar to me. I have some memory of a
typology published either in HA or the CNEHA journal, but have been
unable to track it down. Any suggestions as to references would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
D. Babson.
