Surely it should be set at the average height of the target age group.
How can one sign possibly
 cover the content for 2ft tall to 6ft tall? Some exhibits will be
subtle, complex and suitable to be signed at 5' 10", some will be
trivial and signed at 2'. I do worry that sometimes too much import is
given to academic study of user interaction and not enough to simple
common sense !
