I agree with Lath and Jeff that you should use a polycarbonate
substrate. For this application we would print on a plastic white
photo film, laminate that to a .060" PETG substrate and then cover the
surface with a 5 mil polycarbonate. To prevent picking the edges, we
cut a 1/2" radius on each corner and fold a 1" nylon webbing over the
edge and sew around the perimeter.
