I still have a great fondness for the old Krips recordings.  I have a
lot of respect for Hogwood but it's typical *early* HIP, rather abrasive
compared to more recent efforts like those of Bruggen whom I'd choose over
Harnoncourt.  For recent opera recordings I find Gardiner most succesful.
