That's a somehwat inflammatory statement. I admire Lortie tremendoulsy for
his Ravel and his Debussy. but I've not been impressed with his Beethoven.
And SK is truly a great pianist. Name-to-name comparisons are often
pointless and invidious, but there is no way I can accept that Lortie
is a far better pianist and musician" than Kovacevich.
