Alas, you warning is in vain. I have the Bax first and have never really
noticed the problems with the brass. I was just happy to have a good
recording of some repetoire that I am unfamiliar with.
Speaking of English repetoire, I saw today that Chandos will begin issuing
a "duo" line like the other majors have been doing for a few years now. I
saw a disk of music by Bliss slated for release which I am looking forward
to because it is two disks of music that I have yet to hear. IIRC many of
the stalwarts like Handley, DelMar and others were well represented in this
series.
Oh my aching bank account.
