Puccini in Turandot, of course, though its debatable how "Chinese" a
product he ended up with.  Not very, in my view.  Of course, when I was in
University, a friend from Hong Kong was visiting once while I had Turandot
playing in the background.  At one point he started singing along with the
orchestral accompaniment, in Chinese.  It turned out that his mother sang
that song to him when he was a little boy.
