You're so right about Carmina, and I should think that Slatkin world do
it wonderfully.  I'm reminded of something the late Sam Lipkin said about
Rachmaninoff in one of his books: 'Nobody loved him except the audiences.'
I plan to broadcast Carmina Buirana some time this week on Aspen Public
Radio.
