Unfortunately, Jonah - you've been snookered...Fr. Coyne is going on his usual sabbatical and is also recovering from an illness.  He was not fired for his stand on ID.  This message was sent around
by one of our staff here, but another astronomer corrected it.  I don't have the message she sent, but she said not to worry.  Fr. Coyne's standing in the church is quite okay.  If that changes, I'll
be sure to correct my correction, but it's a non-story at this point.
