Why doesn't anyone mention Mendelssohn? His genius was second to none,
yet he lived only 38 years.  Some claim that he never fully utilized his
potential genius, i.e., he never surpassed the level he accomplished at age
17.  Though personally I disagree, we can see if that's true had he lived
another 30 years.
