Steve (Schwartz) - thanks for bringing up that wonderful film "Bedazzled"
which has a wonderful moment to delight classical LP lovers (and many other
brilliant scenes, too). During one of his mischievous conversations with
Dudley Moore, the schnook, whom he is trying to seduce to the "dark side,
the Devil (Peter Cook) takes records that come by on a conveyor wire and
puts a scratch in the vinyl, before putting them back in their sleeve. The
viewer can see that the record is Brahms First Symphony. In a later scene,
DM is trying to seduce Elenor Bron, his love interest in the movie, and the
couple are spread out on a fur rug in front of a blazing fire. In the
background, Brahms First symphony is playing. Just as DM is about to kiss
Elenor, the record starts skipping....
