I've been listening to a lot of Bach Cantatas lately and some of them I
can't get out of my head and then play them over and over again. I am
thinking particularly of BWV30,BWV4, and BWV104 just to name a few. I
think it's Bach's genius for blending counterpoint with melody that gets
me hooked(or stuck) and the beauty of the choruses(particularly Fritz
Werner's versions). Some of the arias are both so uplifting and so
beautiful and deep that I play them again and again. I think being stuck
here is a good place to be.
