Dear List-
I am planning to do a beekeeping presentation and bring an observation hive. I own one but have never used it. The bees will be on display for up to 5 hours max. They will not be free. Is this too long to keep them pent up? My other question is: what do they need for sustenance? The hive has a feeder. What should I put in it? Water? Sugar syrup?
The hive will be in the shade and supervised the whole time . Any other considerations I ought to be aware of?
Any advice would be most welcome.
Yours,
John Howe
