Try the Audiovox unit by a company called Anchor Audio.    http://www.anchoraudio.com/minivox.php   It's portable, can be carried over the shoulder, battery-operated, rechargeable, affordable, rugged. This equipment can be purchased from the company, but I've also purchased other larger mics made by this company from local musician/guitar equipment stores.

Hi Guys,

At the New York Hall of Science we have a Rocket Park where our 
Explainers perform a Rocket Science demonstration. There are no 
electrical outlets out there and so for the past year Explainers have 
done the demonstration without a microphone. Any advice on a wireless 
portable system, something that we can attach to a rolling cart and 
recharge after the demo is over?
