Speaking of yellow bricks, is anyone familiar with yellow bricks  
deliberately made with black-gray spots? Some Craftsman bungalows in San Diego,  
California exhibited what look like firebricks with dark spots in the fireplace  
surrounds. I would like to know if it was deliberate.
