You indicate that the defensiveness of the Africanzed bees down there has decreased. Have you personally noticed this in the past few years? How would you compare the defensiveness of today's current Africanized bees with the Europeans you had years ago? To what do you attribute the reduced hostility of these bees? How much do you think is due to modification of management techniques? How much is due to selection for mildness in the bees you currently have?
