Isis,
Small cell is practiced successfully in all regions of north and south america and also in the norland european countries as well. I am sure elsewhere also, but don't know where.

So i hardly can support that small cell is a regional phenomenon specific to the lusby region or climate or africanization either since it works well in northern europe where there is no reported invasion of africanized bees.
