As an archaeogeophysicist, mineral exploration consultant and Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) who is located in Sonora, California and who is routinely doing surveys for governmental agencies and the mineral and environmental industries throughout the US, I would like to invite you and any other interested parties to attend the Near Surface Geophysics Poster Session (NS51-C-05) of the American Geophysical Union Annual Meeting at the Moscone Center in San Francisco on December 10-14. Our presentation at this session deals with the new technological advances in portable X-Ray Fluorescence (pXRF) that enables new archaeochemical and geochemical insights in the analysis of core, cuttings, lithic, ceramic and plant materials. Specifically, I would like to invite you and your colleagues to visit us at our Poster Session and the Thermo Fisher Scientific booth, #601 & 602. You are urged to BRING SAMPLES FOR NON-DESTRUCTIVE, XRF ANALYSES to our poster session on Wednesday, December 12th from 0800 to 1220 a.m. and to the Thermo Fisher Scientific booth from Monday, December 11th through Friday, December 14th.
Dr. Claudia Brackett of California State University Stanlislaus, Laura Stupi &. Julia Kleyman of Thermo Scientific NITON Analyzers, and I will be available to discuss the potentials of this new technology and how we are using it in Combined Survey Format (CSF) archaeogeophysical and archaeochemical studies of a 19th Century Mexican Hacienda\Presidio in Southern Arizona and for our governmental, mineral industry and environmental clients for analyses of core and cuttings materials from former mining operations in Arizona - the topic of our presentation. Please feel free to e-mail me at this address if you have any questions. Hope to see you at AGU in San Francisco!

 Sincerely,

Richard J. Lundin, BA, MA, RPA, ISAP
