Subject: cats

A colleague of Ronn Michael also hates cats. Personally, I like 'em (have

HEADLINE: Professor held in cat deaths

DATELINE: CALIFORNIA, Pa.

A history professor at California University of Pennsylvania was free on
his own recognizance after being held for trial in the deaths of eight
cats.

John Folmar, 57, of California, Washington County, is charged with mixing
antifreeze with tuna fish and leaving a dish of the mixture in his garage
for neighborhood cats.

District Justice Daryl Zeamon of California Saturday ordered Folmar to
stand trial on five counts of cruelty to animals following a preliminary
hearing Tuesday.

The charges against Folmar were filed by the Washington County Humane
Society and by some of his neighbors.
