Assistant Professor of Anthropology, full-time, tenure-track
Heidelberg College
Tiffin, Ohio
The Political Science and Anthropology Department invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track position in Anthropology. This appointment will
begin the Fall Semester of 2008-2009 and carry the rank of Assistant
Professor.
Responsibilities will include teaching introductory general anthropology,
cultural anthropology, and physical anthropology as well as upper-level
course(s) in an area of expertise that complements the Departments interest
in forensic anthropology, historic or military archaeology, and
undergraduate research.
Qualifications should include a Ph.D. degree (in-hand or expected by the
first semester of the 2008-2009 academic year) in Anthropology with
classroom and laboratory teaching experience. Candidates need to
demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate research and
teaching. Evidence of successful teaching experience at the collegiate
level is desirable.
