I've never tried it but heard that one can drum on a hive to make the bees move upwards.  I came across a website that said bees, including the queen, can be drummed out of structures and trees using a hammer for about 8 - 10 minutes.

Had anyone been successful in drumming bees out of walls or trees?  Please advise how you did it.
