Yup, the question wasn't quite worded right.

I dabble in model railroading in a few different scales.  I don't do the
outdoor fish-pond kinda stuff. I use the G-scale equipment indoors, because
it shows details and weathering effects so well.

Besides being a theraputic hobby like stamps, serious model railroading is
also a great way to study industrial history, like logging and mining,
which sorta complements what I do around here when I not battlin' with the
archaeologists!  ;o)

Alternatively, I would have guessed re: the relationship of truck
gardens and railroads to urban centers ... but then again, based on
the vagueness of the question ... could be just about anything.
