Hi all--

H.H. Bancroft's "History of California" (1888)
references some fairly severe droughts in California
in the early to mid 19th century, which had dramatic
impacts on the cattle industry at the time. Bancroft
provides some basic data on some of the years, but not
all and not much.

This is kind of an obscure topic, so I'm wondering if
anyone has come across any other references to
droughts c. 1770-1880 in California?

Many thanks,
Cheryl Smith Lintner
