I am researching a copper/ copper alloy spigot dated between 1690 and
1750. The spigot measures 6 3/4 inches in length and the valve turn-off
handle is 3 1/2 inches in height. This spigot would have been used to
tap a cask or barrel of liquor. I was wondering if you could help me
locate some information on how it was made, by whom, and where. I am
also looking for more specific information on what it would have been
used for. Thank you for any help you can give in providing
bibliographic citations or information on comparative artifacts.
