Subject: American open spaces

Greetings one and all,
I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any good sources to examine concerning open expanse thinking in North America? That would be the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Has there been any landscape archaeology analysis all this boundless space to do whatever we want with?

Thanks,
William E. McAlexander Jr.
