I have a student Mara Kaktins who is engaged in graduate
research here at Temple University on the 18th-20th century
madeira trade between Europe and the Chesapeake Bay in
Particular. She is focussing on the business dealings of one
Charles Ridgely and his heirs at his Hampton estate located
near Towson, Maryland. Does anyone have any information on
this subject especially the shipping and marketing of this
wine? Thanks
