I forwarded the sound proof room question to my father, who is an
audiologist and has done some hearing testing on mobile health units. Here
is his response:
The word "mobile" is the tough part. Generally, sound rooms are custom
built for vans/trucks and/or you can bring a pre-fab room onto a van/truck.
Most of the manufacturers work with exclusively with distributors in their
region of the country. So, for example, we work with a company
Tele-acoustics, and they are part of a southeast regional chain of
companies. Here is a web-site for tele-acoustics. You can scan down to
"sound rooms" and pull up some of the companies. There also is a company in
Pennsylvania that I seem to remember builds mobile vans for industrial
testing, etc. I can try to find out their name if that would help. Start
with this website: http://trilogyaudiometrics.com/index/products
