When I was with Dinamation we used large tubs of Crayola's Model Magic  
sculpting material on an interactive where kids sculpted tiny  
dinosaurs.  The kids loved the stuff, especially since they got to take  
their creations home with them.  It was when they first came out with  
the product, and it really worked great for us.   Check with their  
educational sales folks.  Here's their number (parent company Binney &  
Smith) (610) 253-6272.  They also make Silly Putty.
