Thanks for your replies. Interesting that LA is lower Alabama and not Los  
Angeles or Louisiana,
 
I don't know what colors are typical for each strain.  However my  nearest 
queen breeder has his Russian yard less that 2 miles from me.  It's  reasonable 
that my 2nd and 3rd generations are getting some Russian escorts. At  your 
suggestion I will be waking them up early next spring.
