The active ingredient in Apistan is fluvalinate. For purposes of Apistan
the fluvalinate was formulated to be hydrophobic, meaning it was designed so
it would not be absorbed into a liquid. Hundreds, if not thousands, of
tests have failed to detect any harmful levels in honey. Don't worry about
it.
It is locked up in the beeswax!
